Compasso d’Oro

Kartell's 10th Award

Created by legendary designer Philippe Starck the H.H.H (Her Highest Highness) Chair earns Kartell their 10th Compasso d’Oro award.

Founded in 1954 by design icon Gio Ponti, the Compasso d’Oro is Italy’s oldest and most prestigious design award.

According to Starck, the H.H.H. chair is the result of “a process of subtraction… where the intellect replaces material.” The outcome is a poetic yet practical piece that embodies elegance, efficiency, and sustainability.

The H.H.H. chair, is a masterclass in restraint and refinement, reflecting Starck’s philosophy of “doing less, but better.”

The chair’s structure is crafted from recycled materials, using advanced injection molding to achieve ultra-light, seamless lines.

It’s available in five unique versions, including high-gloss and matte finishes, recycled leather (with eco-friendly texture), while the Kartell for Liberty edition wraps the chair in floral prints from iconic British design house Liberty®, adding a romantic, expressive flair.

With Kartell’s new Graphic Impression technique, complex floral and geometric prints are applied directly onto the chair’s curved surfaces, an innovation in industrial printing.
