Sol, designed by Konstantin Grcic, is crafted from solid ash, a material that not only ensures longevity but also evokes certain historical references. The vertically oriented legs & strictly horizontal armrests create a sense of space around the sitter, offering a calm, open presence. Details such as the slightly tapered foot ends & the carved-out armrests enhance the sense of craftsmanship in both designs.

It has a compact footprint & offers a low seating posture. Its plywood seat & backrest are designed to interlock, allowing the backrest to flex freely & comfortably.
