Myto Chair

In a unique collaboration BASF, Konstantin Grcic and Plank developed a cantilever chair entirely made from plastic. The re-interpretation of the historical design icon and the development time of just over a year was a challenge for all parties involved. The use of an innovative plastic material was indispensable to inject MYTO as one monoblock with a supporting frame structure and a perforated seat and back that convey the feeling of flexibility, which is typical for a cantilever chair.

Since the chair came out, in 2007, MYTO has won several design awards and forms part of the permanent collections of some of the most important museums worldwide.

Available in black, white, traffic red, pure orange, yellow green and light blue. Stackable. Suitable for indoor use and outdoor, it is uv light resistant and cold/heat resistant. 100% recyclable.
