Limit Lounge Chair

Normann Copenhagen is excited to reintroduce Danish-Canadian designer Niels Bendtsen’s iconic Limit Lounge Chair – first conceived in 1974 and now reissued for a new generation. Originally developed in Copenhagen, it quickly gained international recognition.

With this reissue, Normann Copenhagen affirms the enduring strength of the original design’s material logic and restraint, acknowledging that some designs are simply right the first time. Its ingenuity earned it a place in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Decades later, its relevance feels undiminished.

Limit Lounge Chair features a steel frame paired with a padded cover. The frame is available in either a powder coated finish for indoor use or an electroplated and powder-coated finish for enhanced durability outdoors. Optional connectors can be purchased, allowing multiple chairs to be linked together seamlessly.
