Risom Chair

Launched in 1955, the C140 chair first appeared in the 1955 Risom Catalogue with images by Richard Avedon.

The iconic piece reached fame when it was used in the White House under President Lyndon B. Johnson who was photographed in 1964, seated in the chair, while signing the Civil Rights Act, and again in 1965 while signing the Highway Beautification Act.

The chair is available in a choice of oak or walnut, and upholstered in either fabric or leather. With upholstered or cane back.
