Positive change is coming to Backhouse Wellington. We are heading back into the City where the Company began nearly 80 years ago.
Over that time Backhouse has become an integral part of the Wellington design community. Our earliest factory was in Alpha Street off Courtenay Place, the last 23 years have been in Kaiwharawhara.
We are now returning to the City to be closer to other like-minded creative businesses. It feels right and timely. Our new home will be in the heritage listed Exchange Building in Allen Street. We are committed to enhancing our design, arts and cultural reputation through on-going collaboration, community engagement and positivity. Wellington is in our DNA and we intend to be part of the reinvention of the Courtenay precinct.
We are excited about the move and sharing the next chapter of the Backhouse story with our wonderful customers.
